AT RICHARDSON’S IN YORK, OUR PORK IS REARED IN THE NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE USING TRADITIONAL FARMING METHODS

At Richardson’s of Woodthorpe, York, I purchase all my pork from the Charles Ashbridge Farm at Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Charles works only with the old, traditional, British breeds such as:
Saddle Back
Gloucestershire Old Spot
Berkshire and Welsh

Consequently, my customers in the York region enjoy meat from the most tender and flavoursome pigs. Like myself, Charles Ashbridge uses traditional methods and via traditional farming:
These Saddle Back, Gloucestershire Old Spot, Berkshire and Welsh pigs are kept in fields and grow naturally without being forced.

The pork is then butchered at Richardson’s of Woodthorpe and sold as cuts, made into sausages or as the major constituent in our award winning pies.
