Why Richardsons?
After leaving school in York, I worked for a number of York based traditional butchers, learning traditional skills in the butchery trade. In 2003 and frustrated working for other traditional York butchers, I bought an existing York based butchery company in Woodthorpe. Re-titled Richardson’s of Woodthorpe, my now well established traditional butchers shop continues to cater for York based customers seeking the quality and value that can come only as a result of using tried and trusted traditional methods.
My 38 years experience as a traditional butcher in the York area will always continue to involve the use of these traditional butchery methods; methods that I have acquired over the years from some of the finest traditional butchers in the York region.
Consequently, my York based customers know that, using well versed traditional butchery techniques, full use is made of every part of the animal, from tongue to tail. All butchering is undertaken at Richardson’s of Woodthorpe.
